The winner of the Tokyo competition 2010, Marco Del Greco, has several concerts in Japan in November and December.
The music that he will play is by Mertz, Llobet, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Gangi, Yoshimatsu, Henze.

Juan Hanichuela grand son won the competition of las Minas festival

Young guitarist, Juan Torres Fajardo, grandson of the emblematic guitarist Juan Carmona Habichuela, won with success in august the first prize of "de las Minas de la Union" festival, a major event in the flamenco world.

FIUL - The International Ukulele Festival of Lerrain - France
17th, 18th and 19th of june 2011

For its first edition, the FIUL is making a bet: reuniting ukulele players from around the world in the Vosges region (north-eastern France), pretty much like Mainland Ukes ' Mike & Tookta's Ukulele World Congress .

The festival goal is thus to reunite worldwide ukulele lovers and have them meet each other in a relaxed atmosphere.

Kaori Muraji, Noboru's daughter, a new member of the Savarez family

Kaori Muraji is considered as one of the most prominent classical guitarists of today, and her challenges and activities are always regarded with keen interest by the entire classical music community.

Born in Tokyo, Japan, she received her first lessons on the guitar from her father Noboru Muraji at the age of three. From ten, she continued her studies with the renowned guitarist Shinichi Fukuda. From quite early on, her presence was dominant in competitions, winning the 1989 Junior Guitar Competition, and the 1991 the Student Guitar Competition for all categories. In 1992, she was the winner of both the Leo Brower International Guitar Competition (Tokyo) and the Tokyo International Guitar Competition.

The G.L.A.A.F (Groupement des Luthiers et Archetiers d'Art de France) took place in Mirecourt from Thursday June 4th 2009 to Sunday June 7th 2009. It was a successful event in which many luthiers met to exchange anecdotes on their profession.
