NEWS In 2008, Vitold Rek was honored twice : once with Tomasz Standko's 5 CD album (1970-1975-1984-1986-1988) "Platinum Prize" in Poland and the second time with Emil Mangelsdorff's CD "Blues Forever" with the Jazzplattenkritik Prize in Germany. In November 2008, Vitold Rek performed as soloist the premiere of Jazz Concerto Grosso for double bass, flute and symphony orchestra during the Polish Chamber Music Festival in Warsaw. They created in Paris a new program: " Scenario for the regulation of injustice ", a composition of political speeches Historys, live music and sounds of computers. They have been participated: John Tchicai - tenor sax. bass cl. (Denmark, the USA); Rodolphe Burger - guit - voc. (France); Yves Domroy - viola(alto) sax - compute; Antoine Berjeaut - trompet, (France); Vitold Rek - dbass. (Poland, Germany), Makaya Ntshoko - Dr (from Africa the South) The concert which was recorded for ARTE french channel television and for the radio "France-Musique", took place the 4th april 2006 in Paris SaintOuen. This concert was a part of the 23th festival "Banlieues bleues".
Concerts en Germany - Avril 2006 Il sera également en concert avec Jaroslaw Bester (accordéon from Cracow Klezmer Band) et avec Ramesh Shotam (percussionniste from Karnataka College of Percussion, Inde) près de Brême et à Frankfurt le 15 avril prochain. Il enregistre d'ailleurs bientôt un CD avec eux.

Vitold Rek has just taken part to the group of John Tchicai with French, South African and Polish musicians. John Tchicai is an alive from jazzqui legende played in the 60s with John Coltrane, Arc Shepp, Mc Coy Tyner, Pharoah Sanders, John Lenon.
