BIOGRAPHY

Kevin Seddiki , started guitar when he was 7, From his childhood, he remembers having listenned to very different music styles, Classical, Jazz, Pop and others.(His favourite tape included music from Mozart, Miles Davis, Sting and Fela..) That maybe explains why it's now hard for him to say which "Kind" of music he plays, as his speciality became somehow his versatility and his ecclectism. He studied classical guitar at Clermont Ferrand, then at Strasbourg 's Conservatory with argentinian master PABLO MARQUEZ.

When he was 17, he was remarqued by guitar legend AL DI MEOLA, who influenced a lot his rythmical approach and learned to him how to play with pic (as until there he mostly played classical guitar or electric bass ...). When he moves to Strasbourg, he goes on studying classical and contemporary music, but also enters Jazz Departement. Around this period, he's also selected for some Workshops at Abbaye de Royaumont, where he meets and studies with Argentinian Bandoneon master and composer DINO SALUZZi. Soon after, Dino will call him to join his band on a european tour. Few monthes later , (fascinated by rythm and percussions since a long time) , Kevin also met in Royaumont the CHEMIRANI FAMILY , a father (Djamchid) and his two sons (Keyvan and Bijan) who play a wonderflul instrument called Zarb. As Bijan invites Kevin to collaborate on various projects with him, after one year playing with Bijan he decides to start learning Zarb. He now plays this instrument on stage sometimes, (Arabic World Institute, Sufi Music Festival at Fes Morocco"...) and also teached percussions at Abbaye de Royaumont in 2008.

On his way he meets and work with people from very different "music styles" and cultures (Argentina, India, Erythrea, Armenia, Iran, Greece, Madagascar, Turkey....). He plays in different bands and Projects. He also composes for solo guitar or more, teaches music, and would love to learn Bandoneon but wonder if it wouldn't be too much for now...
