Giovanni Grano was born in Basilicata in Italy and began studying guitar at the conservatory G. Verdi in Milan with Ruggero Chiesa.
Musician celebrities regularly invited in such prestigious halls, he also lectured in "Literature poetic and dramatic" as well as "History and aesthetics of music" and published numerous essays musicology.
Many composers have dedicated works for guitar solo, guitar ensembles as well as concerts for guitar and orchestra.

Giovanni Grano is now a professor of guitar at the Conservatory C. Pollini Padova (Italy).
